"Room was in disrepair. Countertop in washroom and flooring was lifting. Balcony was dirty. Sauna in room is completely useless, especially in the heat of the summer. Pool area was unacceptable. Whirlpool and cots were dirty. No beach towels provided. Access within the hotel was awkward, multiple elevators."

"I have to first start saying that Matteo, was very resourceful and helpful. When I we arrived one of our rooms was super stinky, 😭 I mean smell awful. Once I communicated with the staff (by Whatsapp) he was able to change our room. The hotel is very convenient located to the train station and the ferry. Other than that.. great stay"

"I had an amazing stay at Hotel Villa Cipressi in Varenna on Lake Como. The hotel is beautiful, with lovely gardens and incredible views over the lake that made the whole visit feel very special. I chose Villa Cipressi as the place to propose to my fiancé, and it was the perfect setting. "I will be very honest, I was not very disappointed with the money that I spent but let me tell you about the full experience ! Rita is very helpful and she offered to pick us up from the station and brought us to the hotel ! So, first thing 1) check in time ends at 7 pm as she helps in the restaurant that they have next door (still, very restrictive, I have never experienced that before and I am glad that I didn’t get to know what would happen if we don’t make it as we tried as hard as possible...

"Beautiful location with direct views to lake Como and mountains. Just a few yards from shore of the lake which has a pebbly beach. Great for swimming. Some good restaurants around and just across the road from the railway station. Amazing setting! The breakfast (Halal) is really good and sitting in the garden looking at the lake and mountains is bliss! Very helpful staff. It's one of the best 3* hotels we've stayed in."
