"Hotel is very well positioned, staff is very friendly and we could have breakfast very early, before getting the bus to Machu Picchu. The only issue was the quality of the amenities. I've never seen a soap and a shampoo so awful that it'd be better not even using it."

First off, we were very happy that we decided to stay in Ollantay during our visit to Machu Piccu (rather than Agua Calientes) which is an incredible location in its own right, with beautiful old town, great restaurants, and fantastic archeologic sites. "This was the most scenic and beautiful hotel we stayed in our entire Peru trip. We could see the mountains from our balcony. Secluded hotel. Perfect for a quiet getaway. We stayed here for one night. The room was huge and beds very comfortable. The breakfast had a wide variety and the staff helped us get some vegetarian options from the kitchen made for us. The restaurant and cafe onsite had good options. Some things to note which doesn’t take away any stars from the review but good to be aware...
