"This place can do the job for a worker used to tough conditions, but I don't recommend this place for a family break. Many amenities were not fully functional (rusty microwave oven, cooktop hard to manage, ultra minimal dishes and cutlery, almost unusable pan...) The overall cleanliness is unpredictable, as it mostly depends upon the good will of the previous guest."

"Nancy, the owner, provided top-shelf hospitality both through her facility and personally through her customer service! As a hostel, she really goes above and beyond, and Friendly Auberge would be a bargain at twice the price! Don't even get me started about how much I loved her fixed-price pilgrim menu in the restaurant! For me personally, her being an ex-pat American was hugely valuable as I cannot speak French."

But if you’re looking for staying in a genuine old French country cottage, with welcoming owners and good food this place is worth a try. Par contre la chambre est TRÈS vieille et mal entretenue, les volets tiennent avec des bouts de ferraille, les fenêtres sont délabrées, pas de porte à la salle de bain, moquette et murs tachés, pas de chauffage principal, donc, petite radiateur d'appoint branché sur une prise. Bref, à par le site, le reste ne vaut pas le déplacement à ce prix là."
