"Stop looking and stay here! Fabien’s hospitality made it so worth it. Met us upon arrival, very clear instructions and he brought us a fresh breakfast in the morning. Flat has everything a family of 4 (two young teen kids) could need. The location couldn’t be better, minutes away from historic sites and amazing food options. No street noise. Can’t say enough about how great the stay was, will return and stay here again, without hesitation. Merci Fabien!"

"The room was clean and the beds very comfortable. The restaurant was good. However there is nothing else around. We were on our way to La Rochelle and it was a good stop off point for one night. Staff were helpful and very pleasant. Parking very easy and just of the autoroute"

"Could be my favourite hotel. Ever. The staff(owners) are lovely. Gave a tour of the wine cellar which was SPECTACULAR! Like a cathedral. The decor was brilliantly done. The breakfast buffet was excellent. The room was beautifully decorated w all new fixtures. The garden patio was out of a movie. Beds were king size and perfect. I have never stayed in a hotel with more attention to detail. And the town is the most perfect medieval town I have seen in France. We had dinner at Henri IV square...

"Basic at best. Location is on the outskirts of town in a petrol station. Bit of a walk (15min) into the town. Breakfast was really poor. There was no lighting as overhead lights had failed. (I did see people working on them the previous night, but obviously did not fix them). We had cycled from London to Paris. No bike storage, but staff said we could keep them stored in a conference room downstairs. "

"Booked this hotel due to shuttle bus from airport & restaurant for evening meal. However prior to arrival message advised that the shuttle didn’t run between 12 noon to 5:30pm and we were due in at 4pm! So had to find alternative transport to hotel. On arrival a Reception staff member was in the phone. There was no acknowledgement from that staff member or from another that came to reception, collected something and walked away. After the call ended maybe 5-10mins, we were welcomed to the hotel...

"The best features of this property are that it is clean, quiet and well maintained. The staff are courteous but not as friendly or helpful as hotel staff in many other places such as Greece or Japan. Shopping nearby is very limited and I was unable to find distilled or deionized water for the ventilator I use at night (a sophisticated derivation of a CPAP.)"
