"Loved every moment of our stay at Marino Beach Colombo — it truly exceeded expectations in every way. From the moment we arrived, everything felt so comfortable and well taken care of. The highlight was definitely the stunning rooftop infinity pool, which was not just beautiful but incredibly relaxing, offering one of the best experiences of the trip.
The view from the hotel was absolutely breathtaking, especially with the endless stretch of the ocean right in front — waking up to that sight...

"What I liked the most was the view from room. The hotel needs a good renovation. Loved the decore in the room.
Needs to be more generous with the towels etc. always some towel is missing.
As for the food it was good but all the sambals need attention. The chefs need to learn how to make a good lunumiris, seen sambal etc.
Wattalappan fantastic. Oat porridge not ok.
Fruit selection ok but no mango.
How about some original sinhalese sweets.

"Don’t stay here unless you have to be 10 minutes from the airport. The place is in disrepair. Among many other things, pieces of carpet cover the broken hall floor tiles. Everything is in need of refurbishment. Front desk staff look like they would rather be anywhere else. "

"The facilities and staff are very good. The food is below par. Food that is to be served hot were served lukewarm. By the time, I walked back to my table from the buffet line, the items were cold. Imagine cold "kirihodi" on String Hoppers or cold scrambled eggs on toast :-) The food that was to be served cold were at room temperature. Not what you expected from a 5-star. "The selection for their morning breakfast buffet is very varied. The staff is busy during rush hour; they seem overwhelmed at times.
Their housekeeping standards cannot match those of their properties in Hong Kong or mainland China.
The Chinese restaurant Shang Gong is one of the best in the country, and its staff is very attentive and courteous. "
