"The property itself is very nice. Didn’t realize it was in a secluded area that’s isolated and difficult to get in and out of. Within this area there are restaurants and beach clubs which aren’t included, and everything is so much more expensive than regular prices in Bali. But they can charge more cuz you don’t have access to anything else. The Expedia ad makes it seem like the beach club utopia and all is included, but the only thing it includes is the entrance. You still have to pay minimum $100 to rent our day beds and buy food and drink. Beach was closed the entire time we were there, through the beach club. Really nice sunset view, and the villas are really nice as well. I just don’t like how it’s like a resort but at the same time it’s not cuz you still have to pay for everything inside and it’s overpriced. If you’re gonna act like a resort, than all that should be included in the price of the stay. Staff were nice, food was not bad. Generally did not like the food in Bali and here were some of the better meals I had."

"The staff was very friendly and attentive. The property is so special, I’ve never stayed anywhere with architecture like this before. The spa was beautiful, a waterfall right by the hot tub and cold plunge is a beautiful touch. I will definitely be back. "

"Second time here. Wonderful retreat along the lake. Close to Handara Gates and Botanical Gardens. Dewi and all the staff are awesome. Cabins are wonderful."

"The rooms were very nice and the breakfast was amazing. However, they definitely need to improve on sealing the rooms as there are so many large gaps on every window and door as our kids had so many mosquito bites. They also need to close off the outdoor bathroom as my wife was unable to shower or use the bath tub in private as there was a room directly above the open bathrooms, there were also lots of ants and bugs crawling all over the bath tub so we couldn't enjoy it."

"My wife and I and my wife's sister stayed in one of the 2-BR villas at Dusun Bedugul Asri in September 2025. We were very satisfied with our stay there. We went to the area because we wanted to see the Bali Botanical Garden, which is nearby. It was a bit too far to walk, but the hotel quickly arranged a good driver for us. The grounds of the hotel are beautifully landscaped. It's actually like a miniature botanical garden. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the restaurant food was excellent."

"Look, we loved our stay here. We wanted an authentic experience surrounded by real Bali. Real locals, not overrun with tourists, good food and away from the traffic and bustle. It was perfect. We met with our local Balinese friends here that were made to feel very welcome. The staff were authentically friendly, no touristy pretense. Indomarat across the the road and the restaurant on site is simple but great, so all you need. Local ceremony nearby which was a great experience. We loved it. Don’t stay here if you want to have 5 star luxury, walk and find shops and restaurants and spas. Do stay here if you want to be surrounded by the real simple bali. Our ‘wooden’ villa had its own pool and kitchen. It was clean, spacious and beautiful. It had great air conditioning and gallon water available. We did an amazing day trip with our recommended driver by the hotel, Nicky. We are already planning next year. 11 out of 10. "
