Needed a rest stop between Anchorage and Haines and this was perfectly placed on Destination Bay right after the Canadian border and most of the frost heaves

After my hours of driving the hotel, gas station, and restaurant were like a palace in the desert. Our room was dated but clean and the food at the restaurant was very good. If you stay there the coffee is on the house!!

After a 13 hour travel day, it was great to have a clean and comfortable place to eat and sleep. Staff were excellent with a couple of travel weary visitors.

It is located at the beautiful Destruction Bay area and if you can arrive to take time and walk around, you won't regret the views.

This is a great base to stay at on a short visit to Kluane Lake or when traveling to and from Alaska. There's not much around and gas stations and restaurants are few and far between. They have everything you need plus laundry in a nice setting with the lake and mountains nearby. Everything is dated, but in order, clean, and functioning. The rooms are quite warm which feels great when the temperature drops.

Nice and convenient place to lay our heads for the night. Plenty of parking with good food at connecting restaurant. It was fun watching the arctic ground sqirrels play around in front area and greet all who stopped by for gas, food, or spend the night. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Would stay again.

Room was clean and spacious. Parking good, even for larger vehicles (RV and trailers). No breakfast provided, but the to go breakfast muffins with egg cheese bacon were very good. However, my room, and I understand other rooms, did not have a mini fridge or microwave . For travelers carrying some drinks, food, or medicine, these I consider basics for any room..I paid for a mountain view room, and when I checked in I had no view of any kind except the parking lot. I went to management immediately and they put me in a Lakeview room which was a slight upgrade, so at least they were responsive . Overall it's a basic room that was good enough to eat and shower in. We ordered the turkey dinners which were good and the hotel is pet friendly

Nice spacious room. Sure missed having a coffee pot in my room. We had a good dinner at the restaurant with beautiful views.

Do yourself a favor and stay at Talbot Arm Hotel! The rooms are very clean, the restaurant served really good homemade food, and views of the mountains and Kluane Lake are amazing. This is definitely my favorite stop along the Alcan, and a much better price and ambiance than anything in Tok or other AlCAN stop. I would even come here as a basecamp and stay for a while to explore Kluane national park.

Motel is average. Not fancy. Clean room. Bar and restaurant. Evening meal was good with friendly waitress. Breakfast not very good. Pancakes cold. Good location right across from the lake.
