"Rooms are tired and need a refresh. Bathroom has shower within a bath, difficult to step over onto slippery floor even using a mat. All furniture is soiled and carpet well worn. Water pressure is poor. Other guests smoking on their balconies. Spoke to management weren’t really interested. Parking charged at additional cost. Won’t be staying again."

"This property is very well maintained, in a quiet location, set in beautiful grounds. Very good value compared to other hotels in the area. Sadly the bed was a disappointment. Not a proper King size, just 2 singles pushed together, so comes with the dreaded "crack" between the two. As well, the mattresses were quite uncomfortable with metal springs being easily felt. The inroom WiFi was useless when it came to using the Smart TV. Our room was missing a full size mirror."

"The room was clean but on the smaller side by Australian hotel standards, and feels a little dated for the price — though being central inevitably comes with that trade-off. As a regular Novotel guest, one thing that consistently frustrates me across the brand is the lack of consistency in breakfast. Some properties include espresso coffee, others don’t. Some have an egg station, others don’t. For a global brand with a loyal repeat guest base, standardising the breakfast offering would go a long way — travellers should know what they’re getting before they arrive. On the plus side, the location is excellent, with a great range of restaurants within easy walking distance. The standout issue for me, though, was the WiFi. Coverage in the room was effectively unusable — constantly dropping out. In 2026, reliable WiFi isn’t a nice-to-have; it’s as fundamental as hot water or a working television. This needs to be fixed."
