"If the hotel owner is reading this review, I strongly recommend replacing the receptionist who was on duty on July 8, 2026, at around 7:00 PM during check-in. I booked a Partial Sea View room, but I was not given the room I had reserved. Instead of solving the issue, she insisted that the mistake was mine and claimed that a partial sea view was never included, even though it was clearly stated in my reservation. "It was our second time at Maistra Funtana. And we have already booked for next year, again. A very well organized and very good managed hotel. It should deserve at least 4*. Tasty food, clean and recently renovated rooms, a lovely pool kids pool and a nice beach with a lot of included sports offerings. Staff was always very nice and friendly - especially to both of our kids. Thank you Maistra Funtana team. See you next year! "

"We could not recognize the hotel from the pictures, the outdoor pool is not at this hotel, but the neighbor hotel.. indoor pool is small & pretty old, also room & bathroom was very old and run down. Hotel location is good near the port. Breakfast was good."

"Rented the penthouse and it was an absolutely amazing stay without any exaggeration. Lots of room, equipped kitchen, huge tv, hot tub, amazing view overlooking old town. Location was also great, free parking. And the pizza from the restaurant was also great. Could not ask for more!"

"The photos do not do it justice. This place was so wonderful!! Rovinj is a most charming town and this place was no exception. The entrance is on the busy walking street which made it easy to get to everything, but once inside it’s very private. Dominik was extremely helpful and welcoming. He and his wife made an incredible breakfast. We loved everything about this place!!"
