"Everything was very nice"

"The room was adequate for the price and location. Welcoming staff and breakfast was standard. Room and bathroom was clean upon arrival. Bathroom was small but sufficient. Good baseline hotel. Location was decent for Austin though the surrounding area is a little on the sketchy side."

I was never contacted prior to me checking in that my room typed was not available and here are the options if you're not happy with the issue. "The hotel is new, clean, funky, and right across the street from UT. The staff were great too. Only downsides are that the rooms are small and the only parking option is valet, which is expensive. Hotels should provide free parking to their paying guests, not charge them an exrtra $50 on top of the room rate. Not cool."

"Pool area was disgusting. Puddles of water everywhere. Bathrooms in the pool area were dirty too and hand towel dispenser wasn’t working. The tub in the room felt gross. I showered with my flip flops on because it felt gross. The breakfast tasted great though! The floor in the breakfast space just felt so sticky though. And we went to breakfast early, so not like we were there at the end of breakfast."

"Elements is the new addition to the Marriott brand. If you preferred minimalism that has all the amenities you need for your stay - this is the place. Clean and well maintained. Private parking garage, credit union bank next door, bus stop to downtown Austin. Walking distance to many restaurants and shops - Dillards, Macy, Dicks Sporting Goods etc."
