"Hotel beds were comfortable and it was a great location but the continental breakfast was maybe the worst we ever had. First of all you get your coffee downstairs in the lobby then have to walk up these steps to where breakfast is. It is a very small area with maybe 5 or 6 - 2 person tables. Absolutely no room. Food was pretty bad as well! Probably would not stay here again just because of breakfast."

"The hotel has a rich history. It was built in 1896 as school and remained a school for over 100 years. I don’t when the building was converted to a hotel but the own did a great job a keeping the hotel in keeping with Gettysburg’s history. The rooms were spacious and there are limited number of rooms. So the hotel has an intimate feel. Plenty of parking. Who knows. There could even be some spirits roaming the halls at night. I didn’t see or hear any."

"Historic property in Civil War era buildings. Well maintained for such an old building, but no modern amenities. It’s in the heart of the Gettysburg battle zone and very walkable to famous sites with lots of shopping and restaurants within walking distance. Info in the room was helpful."

"Disappointed in the size of the room. Small television with only regular channels, tiny bathroom and when booked they showed a restaurant. Coupon for Friendly's which was disappointing. Free breakfast was good and well organized but for the price, we will not be back."

"This was my first stay at a B&B.I was skeptical, but booked it for our anniversary. What an amazing experience! Laura and Ron were delightful hosts and their wealth of knowledge and passion for local history made the stay that much better, Expect a filling home cooked breakfast every morning by Laura (while in period costume). She leaves snacks and drinks in the sun room for guests to enjoy. Ron did much of the restoration work himself to the mansion. He kept the historical vibe while...
