"Good location in centre of Sherborne. Very reasonably priced room and the staff are friendly and helpful. The pub has a car park and is also just 5/10 minutes walk from station. The delightful Sherborne abbey is just a very short walk from the inn and there are numerous restaurants nearby. The room was very comfortable although there was occasional noise from the bar downstairs or outside tables. The Abbey is close by and the clock chimes might bother some. "Booked last minute for a trip with kids. Location was very convenient but do bear in mind it’s accessed via small country roads. The staff were very welcoming and my boys were smitten with the dog, Buddy. The main pub wasn’t open but the pizza’s were great. The garden is absolutely wonderful and we will definitely try to return and see how it matures. "

"A lovely one night stay. The pub is in a quiet village location, close to lots of interesting places in beautiful Dorset countryside. Our room was large, with an equally large bathroom. We ate in the pub in the evening. The menu choice was good, prices reasonable and the food was excellent. We had our breakfast served outside in the garden and, again, this was tasty, hot and really enjoyable. Thoroughly recommended."
