"CLAMPING at Bulls Camp was really convenient for overnighter to the Mt Fuji area for Expo Fireworks at Fujiten Ski Resort. Not quite Camping, definitely not Glamping, the camp is situated right off of the 139 though there really was not any highway noise. The little deck and barbecue were great. "Stayed for 3 days 2 nights and it was a fabulous hotel, everywhere was clean, the room was surprising large compared to many Japanese hotels. Location is really good too, next to the train station with many food and shopping choices just a short walk away, look forward to staying again when I'm in Shizuoka"

"The staff was very helpful calling taxis for us. The hotel was busy, and my floor was loud. Some families allowing children to run the halls and people having full, loud conversations in the hallways at night. The breakfast buffet was amazing and had a wonderful view of Mt. Fuji. I had a Mt. Fuji view room, but with a roller coaster in the view. I was not expecting that. Still nice to see Mt. Fuji upon waking."

"We had a wonderful time at HaoStay. The space was ample in the Watermelon house, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. The water pressure in the shower was excellent, and the breakfast was delicious. The location is a walk from the train station but you can get picked up and dropped off. We enjoyed not being right by the train station. Staff were very friendly."

"I was really looking forward to this trip to Nishiyama Onsen. The hot water springs were amazing the staff not so accommodating. Lots of bowing and thank yous but no real assistance. We requested soy sauce with our appetizer and they said no and wouldn't bring it. Check in is 3PM and check out is 10 AM. It's a rather expensive undertaking considering that the property is quite remote. I really wanted to stay there because of the history, the oldest continuously inhabited hotel in the world. Sadly I was put in the newer rooms so I didn't really get that experience. They practically kick you out at 10:00AM, I was organizing my luggage and the desk clerk approached me and barked, you have to settle your bill, as if I would try and leave without paying. They weren't even prepared I had to wait while they added up all the charges. I have never been treated so poorly anywhere else in the world."

"Everything was excellent, from the staff to the amenities to the food. The view of Mt Fuji from our room was extraordinary. We are a short walk from Fuji-Q Highlands AND we got early entry as hotel guests, so getting on Eejanaika before a line formed was perfect. The onsen is nice (but crowded) and free for hotel guests. The free breakfast buffet was amazing too. The highway bus to Tokyo will pick us up at the hotel, so transportation is super convenient as well."
