"It was a very nice experience to stay at grand machiya second. Altough we found a bit difficulty to find the property at beginning. Check in and check out was very smooth, concierge was very accomodative to give us earlier check in which was really helpful after a long flight and walk in cold weather with elderlies and young children. Room was clean and spacious enough for our group 6 adults and 2 children, completed with sufficient basic amenities and kitchen utensils for simple cooking....

It's a bit out of the way so there are less crowds, but you only have to transfer once to central Tokyo from Ikebukuro, and it is a lot more affordable and we got to do so much more! Beds were super comfy, lots of room and had a lot of amenities available. Staff were really friendly as well and were always willing to help, even providing some advice in English when we needed it.
