"I know they call it hidden lodge, but in reality it is what we in the UK would call a detached house with a number of bedrooms with enquires attached. Here each bedroom is given an individual name & called a 'lodge'! The room itself was ok. Nothing out of the ordinary but the bathroom definitely needed renovation. Seemed very tired. The hottub is a log fire driven one and our host Dave said it was a lot of hassle to do and would cost an extra 200nzd. There was no mention of this in the website...

"Lovely Bed and Breakfast managed by Janet. It's small but lively place. Great view of the lake too. Highly recommend if you're the type of person that likes privacy and are on a budget."
