"This was a little hidden gem that we will definitely return to. It was a wonderful base and the shared facilities- bathrooms and kitchen, was perfect with little extras like snacks and hot drinks to help yourself to. "Very comfortable stay, large room with lovely view. Large bathroom with large bath. Highly convenient service area to make tea/coffee and breakfast. Very clean. Historic property with beautiful lounge area. Excellent parking in safe location. Highly convenient to travel to Liverpool and Birkenhead whilst staying in a rural location. "

"Lovely pub, friendly staff. We only stayed 1 night but the rooms were very clean and had everything you needed. The breakfast was cooked beautifully and really tasty. We would have had diner there but unfortunately it was the Christmas market on within Tarvin that evening so no food was served other than a stall outside. Free parking for people staying in the pub. Within a 15 min drive into Chester - Wouldn’t hesitate to go back. An enjoyable if not brief visit. "

"The property was in pleasant grounds, in an attractive village. There are a number of b and b rooms in the barn which is now an annex to the main house. The room had a high ceiling so was airy and spacious. The ensuite shower room was too. The bed could be a double or two singles so was large size and we found to be comfortable. "Writing this review on behalf of my husband who stayed here two nights to attend a Manchester United game. This was perfect if you’re in town to watch a game. Can walk back and forth from Old Trafford. This bnb is in a neighborhood as it’s a house so driving up to it can be a bit surprising at first. The house was really spotless and the hosts were very kind. Your stay does include breakfast and you have choice of an English breakfast & a Hong Kong style breakfast that the host makes for you....

"There was more to it than you first see….Doug the owner was pleasant guy explained everything to me carried my case up to my room. Great freshly cooked breakfast you didn’t leave hungry in a morning! Nice big lounge comfortable and in here as well as the TV was a kettle microwave cutlery condiments glasses fridge for customers use! Also another glass fronted fridge with assorted chilled drinks and an honesty box, so if you wanted you could buy a take away and warm it up and take to your room...
