"Had the worst experience I've had in a hotel. They claim to be family and pet friendly. Pets are only allowed on the second floor, which is under renovation. Noise levels and chemical fumes are intolerable. We were traveling with a child with disabilities, who cannot be exposed to chemical fumes. When asked to be moved to a different floor we were told they couldn't accommodate us because we had a pet. We were given the option to "check out." We checked out around 6pm. "We stayed one night and for the most part there is nothing to complain about. The property was well maintained, the staff was friendly, and with the exception of a few missed spots (nothing that would stop us from staying again) the room was clean. The property is worth the money and if in the area again we will be back."

"This was our first time so a lot of things we didn’t know. Parking is not included so you can either valet or self park. And they will do a hold on your credit card for $300 but we got ours back pretty quickly. The amenities are wonderful, our room was very spacious and we really enjoyed the pool! The staff was amazing and our check in was seem less! Definitely recommend and will return!"

"The property is dated and not well maintained. As soon we walked in their was a musty/mildew smell. That smell followed throughout the entire hotel. Check-in was longer than expected, the front desk person was distracted and forgetful. The room was tidy but cleanliness was not great. "We loved our stay at the P.A. Smith hotel! The staff were all amazing and accommodating. The hotel itself was historic and memorable. We appreciated the original limestone walls, little nuggets of history throughout as well as the overall vibe of our room. Very comfy bed and plenty of space!"
