"The hotel was excellent. Beautiful building with historic features throughout. We loved the 'lodge-style' room in the courtyard, brilliantly quiet and well decorated. Clean and modern with great facilities including: iron and ironing board, tea/coffee tray and in-room safe. The TV was a large wide-screen. Would have wanted a second bedside table as one was missing but that's being picky! Would definitely stay again as the location a short walk from the station and Mickelgate was ideal!"

"Upon check in i was told leave the building to go to an annexe, couldnt find annexe so had to return to main reception to be shown where i needed to go. the annexe was dirty, smelly, stunk of cigarettes and the room was in poor condition. i complained and got moved to main hotel where the room wasnt much better. "
