"to begin with I have to admit I liked the 501 against my better judgement at times but the location and views allows a lot to be forgiven. I can imagine the 501 in its glory days would have been spectacular. the architecture is still on place and quality never goes out of style. however the old girl does look a little tired and could benefit from a little renovation in places. the staff, mainly Italian or course and many locals, can be a little abrupt or disinterested when they are busy...

"No restaurant even though still advertising as available Hotel is literally miles from nearest restaurant on mountainous roads with no lighting. We arrived after a long journey tired and hungry, only to be told nearest restaurant was 9 miles away. We paid for breakfast included and received a long life croissant an apple and orange on first morning, thereafter NOTHING There was no heating, in January and hence sheets were damp. We couldn’t wait to leave "

"A személyzet hihetetlenül kedves és segítőkész volt! Óriási tisztelet érte! A hely szép, a fekvése kitűnő, bár autóval nem közelíthető meg, de még az állomásra is ki lehet tolni a bőröndöket! Ami nem annyira volt jó, hogy az utca szintjátől 70 lépcsőfok volt a szobánk (bár megvan a maga olaszos lépcsős romantikája), lift nincsen, valamint hiányzott a szobából szárításra alkalmas akasztó, vagy szárító, amin a strandról felhozott dolgainkat tudtuk volna szárítani."

"The property is beautiful both inside and outside. Very clean and tidy, well located near restaurants and beach. Friendly & helpful staff. Would recommend to anyone."

"We chose not to stay at this property. Although the front desk staff was kind (beware only speaks italian), the rooms are severely outdated (for example no TV in room, fridge and AC both appeared not to be functional), the dining menu is laughable (pre-selection of all meals each day with extremely limited choices and 500ml of water), the facilities are old and in need or renovation, the wifi is inexistant (we could not find any signal for the entire time we were at this property) AND the worst...

Ma... pensavamo di avere un alloggio di due camere (cioè due stanze climatizzate con letti non a castello in un unico alloggio), ma abbiamo avuto una camera e due letti a castello in un disimpegno con finestra/balcone. In camera matrimoniale non c'è armadio né comò. L'unico armadio a due ante, piccolo, deve servire per le quattro persone e l'intera settimana. C'è una sola sedia per tutto l'alloggio e...

"Loved this little place!!! What a find! The drive in was interesting, is it is at the end of an indistrial estate, but once you get there you are literally on the beach! It was fabulous and we only wish we had another few days. "
