"While not a top-notch place to stay, for the price it is a good value particularly given that you have more space for less cost than just a good motel room and can do some cooking and meal prep on your own. The check-in is always smooth and the accommodations reasonably comfortable. Setting is very nice, particularly if you get a room/suite that isn't looking onto the parking lot/driveway area. "Strong dog smell, dirty shabby condition of interior surfaces. Obvious makeshift repairs, spongy floors, torn, flaking couch. Kitchen counter had multiple burn marks and some sticky substance, corner held down with duct tape. Screen door off tracks, laying against wall. Wife was stung by insect in the unit, had to go to hospital. We moved out after only 3 hours, and literally slept in the car rather than go back. Owner uncaring, rude and greedy. "The house was everything we wanted and more. Loaded with space, kitchen supplies, comfort, a grill, gorgeous stone fireplace. The location on. sleepy back road in the woods was beautiful and quiet. The only complaint is that they make you take your trash with you when you go. There was a pass for the local dump which helped offset the inconvenience. Otherwise, A+"
