Extremely disappointing stay – Expedia helped after a terrible experience
My experience at Hampton by Hilton Al Barsha was distressing from start to finish. I had booked a non-smoking room with two beds, but they gave me a smoking room with only one bed. When I asked for the correct room, they kept me waiting in the lobby for over three hours with rude and dismissive behavior. I eventually left the hotel in frustration, taking a taxi and stopping at four different hotels trying to find a place to stay that night — all at my own expense.
Only later did Expedia step in and help by relocating me to another hotel in the same area, covering the difference in price after I had already paid for the new booking. The hotel manager later sent a formal apology and confirmed a refund, but I still haven’t received it until now. It was a stressful and exhausting experience that I wouldn’t want anyone else to go through. Thankfully, Expedia’s support was the only bright side in this ordeal.
