We found Juliette's to be a perfectly decent, clean and comfortable room close to the centre of Dubrovnik old town and Sergio a welcoming host. However, at 7.30 on our first morning in the room there was deafening banging and drilling etc from the room above which went on for a good few hours. We rang Sergio who was most apologetic and said he had contacted the neighbours and the municipal authorities but so far without result. The next day was the same but by day 3 apart from a blast of drills at 7.30am again all was quiet until 10 when all hell broke loose again. After that it was quiet but it was still hard to sleep braced for more possible building mayhem at any moment. While Sergio maybe did his best to save the situation we were disappointed when he refused to offer us any refund suggesting instead that we could have 3 free days at some point (an offer which, it seemed likely, would never be taken up). Apparently Dubrovnik is a hive of building/repairing activity until May 1st so probably it would be wise to get a guarantee of reasonable peace and quiet before committing to a rental.
We enjoyed our 4-night stay. Sergio, the host, is super helpful and responsive. The room is clean and in great condition. The location is also awesome - very close to a city gate and at the same time you can walk to anywhere within the city in a few minutes.
Two minor things to note however:
1. Since this place is located within the city walls, there are many stairs in front of the house (as well as staircase inside the house).
2. You can hear the bell ringing from nearby the bell tower very hour. Not an issue during the day, and earplugs during sleep could help.
This was a great location within the walls. I will say if you can't do stairs this and the city maynot be for you. The room was so comfy and cute. It had a nice air drying line out the window so if you go for a swim you can hang your suits to dry. They had a mini kitchen with cups/plates and things. Perfect for a little stay. Bathroom was really nice and had a great shower.
The apartment was located within the city walls, very central to the main square and Polče gate. Sergio was a great host who gave lots of tips on where to go, eat and enjoy.
The property was also comfortable which was perfect after a hot day spent gallivanting!
This place is in old town within the city walls so very great location to be able to walk around town. It is on a steep narrow walking street that has lots of cobblestone steps so a bit of work to get to and leave from with your luggage. Sergio the owner was very kind and helpful with restaurant suggestions etc. It has a little kitchen and other than a leaky shower was very pleasant to stay in.
Sergio maintains this property as a historical tribute to Dubrovnik and his grandparents. It is in immaculate condition. We would definitely go back because Sergio was so helpful, easy going, the place was unique and the location spectacular. The tiny things I would mention is that the floors are a little thin (because of historical building requirements) so people walking with wooden shoes above your room can get slightly annoying early in the morning. Also the pillows are tad thick for my liking and it’s odd the bed didn’t have a sheet (maybe a Croatia thing).
Great accommodations in a very nice location in Old Town Dubrovnik. This is located just north of The Stratum which is the main avenue of Old Town. The Owner was very communicative as our arrival date approached and was easy to communicate with throughout our stay! Upon our arrival, the owner met us at the apartment and greeted us with a warm welcome, tips for the city, and a map of the area to help us navigate. The room was Extremly spacious, which i didn't expect for such an ancient city. It was also very clean and had really nice and strong AC! The mini fridge was stocked with a few welcoming beverages and was great to have for leftovers and such.
However, keep in mind which packing that this is a very old city built in a mountain. So, the city has a LOT of stairs. This apartment has several stairs leading to it. Just be sure to pack light- which is always a good tip for international travel!
I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend for others vising Dubrovnick
If you like staying in 13 century house with stone walls and beamed ceilings in a quiet peaceful neighborhood stay here. Newly redone fully equipped kitchen and bath. Near all sites and restaurants. Sergio will help with bags cause of the many steep steps. The home has been in his family for generations he knows the area well. Thank You! Judy and Steve
We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Juliette’s Palace Studios. The spiral staircase was tricky, but Sergei (sp?) arranged to have our luggage brought up and down. It was very quiet for being inside the city walls. Although, there are no “amenities” there are restaurants, shops and bars just steps away. My wife and I would recommend Juliette’s Palace to anyone staying inside the walls.

Room in the middle of sightseeing spot
It is convenient because it’s in the middle of the sightseeing spots. However, if there are lots of baggage, it might be very hard to go up to the room. There is no elevator.
The shower room was a bit leaky.
Sergio, the property owner, was great. The location was great. The spiral stairs to the second and third floors were rather treacherous, but Sergio carried our suitcases on them at the beginning and end of our stay. The bed was not very comfortable.
Very comfortable studio in the heart of downtown, a few stairs from the main street or the cable car to Mount Srd. The studio is well furnished, new and has all the amenities needed for a very comfortable stay (kitchen, utensils, tea maker, fridge etc). Besides being in an excellent location the owner Sergio was the highlight of my trip. I was a single female travelling alone and from the time Sergio picked me up from the taxi stand to check out his service and hospitality was outstanding. I arrived close to midnight and wanted milk for my morning tea, he took me to a bar and secured a litre of milk for me (free of charge!) since all stores were closed. Free bottle of wine, pineapple, fruits, and complimentary snacks added the extra touches. Highly recommend!
Sergio and Juliette were the BEST hosts. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Their place is right above a fabulous wine bar and Irish pub which was even better. Highly recommend their place if you are going to be in old town.
It was a very lovely apartment once you climb an extremely steep, narrow, spiral staircase which made accessibility difficult with or without luggage. The unit could also use new linens and pillows. Owners were very pleasant and responsive. Dubrovnik is spectacular.
