Kingsgate Hotel Dunedin
Despite the website advertising a bar and restaurant there were neither only a breakfast room. The 25NZD parking per night also comes as a surprise ! The hotel is typical 3 star but beginning to look a little tired. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast simple but adequate.

Beach lodge motel
The motel advertised free wifi.. on second day staff advised they were unable to fix problem and offered 1 continental breakfast as compensation. It was our impression that this unit (#14) did not have wifi because it was too far from motel (facing onto back street), and that management well knew ...
