"We drove past before check in time and saw a note in the hosts window saying that they had gone to town which was no problem but when we attempted to call later to let the host know we’d be arriving late we couldn’t get through. "This is a self-help apartment. It was very expensive. We were afforded no early check in, even though we far in advance notified them that we had a complicated situation.
