However, the place needs a really good clean - staircase carpets filthy, laundry lying around, corridor cluttered. Only 1 staff at breakfast - supplies lacking and empty. Cooked breakfast good though."

"Really nice stay but shine was taken off by one of staff being quite confrontational. Lovely welcome and check-in spoiled by an older lady I believe called Nicola (that’s what came up on the digital till when I purchased a drink later in the evening) who involved herself unnecessarily in the check-in process. The room was really nice and great value for money. I had a great view of the surrounding countryside. I booked a table for dinner and I found the food okay but again Nicola starred by...

"The pleasant, friendly staff were particularly memorable for their friendly, helpful 'can do' attitude. The room(s) we were given were more than adequate for our needs and included a bedroom and a sitting room together with two TV's and the usual shower room. It was quirky, old and perhaps in need of a little TLC, but laid back and lovely "

Would recommend displaying WIFI login details in the rooms in future . Room needs a bin , not just a bathroom bin . Good close parking, big spacious room with a nice comfy sofa . Lots of potential in room , but in need of updating . "
