"Convenient to the lake"

"This stay felt more like a motel than a hotel, which wasn't what I was expecting during my New England road trip. Unfortunately, the blanket had a cigarette burn from a previous guest, and two of the three bath towels still had hair on them. That made me feel uneasy about the cleanliness of the room. The front desk staff also seemed annoyed during check-in, which didn't make for the warmest first impression. Overall, I wasn't very happy with my stay. Thankfully, I was only there for one night."

"There was an event going on and it ended at an appropriate time. I had no problem falling a sleep I didn’t hear any loud music. We always enjoy staying at Poland Springs Resort. We will be back!"

"Stayed for a couple nights for a friends getaway. The property was beautiful and offered swimming, boating, fire pits, ample seating areas, and lawn games. The room was comfortable and clean. Can't wait to return...definitely will be on the books for next year or sooner."

"The floors were dirty in the bathroom. Bed sheets had what appeared to be stains! Not sure the bedding/ linen was clean. Smelled like mold and so did I and my clothing! People smoking at entrance from the back resturant made me nauseated.and it followed you into the building. Very run down and old!"

"Had an AMAZING time at Purity Springs Resort!! Convenient location, great amenities, comfortable and quiet rooms, great dining options at Traditions Restaurant (on site) and cant appreciate the peaceful and tranquil, nice Purity Lake enough. Kayaking on the lake was an incredible experience and we lots of wildlife around including herons, otters and the common loon. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Cell reception was pretty non-existent in the area but once we connected to wi-fi it was...

"The only thing I didn’t like was there were some ants in the room and 2 spiders. I understand it’s in the woods but….."

"Host seemed annoyed that we reserved through Expedia. There were only two couples staying in the place and she stuck us both upstairs next to each other. We asked if another room was available but she said that because we reserved through Expedia she couldn’t switch our room. Didn’t make much sense. The place has a lot of character, but we wish the owner was more friendly/welcoming. Also, food was mediocre. It has been much better in past visits here. It’s like we were an annoyance to her this...

"Good price, quiet property. They do state somewhere in their web page that they're no longer a bed and breakfast, it would be better to really put that up front, perhaps take the bed and breakfast sign down from inside the kitchen. It was nice to have tea and coffee, thank you. Surprising, but not totally unusual in this day and age to not see a single person from the property, that all contact was done via notes."

"This place is just amazing. It’s so cozy and welcoming. Gretchen and Keith are wonderful and just the sweetest couple. We can’t wait to come back for another adventure and hang out with Dulce again. Breakfast was to die for. I wish I’d had room to eat it all."
