"This was my favorite hotel of my ring road trip simply due to the balcony overlooking the fjord. I spent hours just sitting, sipping coffee, and watching the ducks/ducklings. Such a relaxing location and the room was a good size. I really miss this hotel the most out of my whole trip. Also, Tatyana at check in has such a bubbly personality that it was great to see someone who really enjoys what they are doing and is an extremely welcoming person. 10/10 will be back!"

"We liked ked it here. Our room was very spacious. Breakfast was not good though. However, we had to drive through very dense fog to get there. We couldn't see the road except for a couple of feet ahead of us, and we had to drive in a mountain with no guard rail. I'm f we had known about the fog, we probably would have chosen to stay someplace else. Hotel itself was great though. "

"Great place, perfect location for our plans. The breakfast was great and the hotel restaurant was great as well. No other food choices nearby. We planned to hike Studlagil canyon early, and this hotel allowed us to do that. We ate at the hotel at 7:30, were at the Canyon by 8AM and we had the hike in and about 30 minutes while we were the only ones there except one other couple who left as we arrived. "A most beautiful location. The site was renovated and felt homey with all of the amenities we needed for a one night stay."

"It's cozy, room was nothing too special but totally fine for 4 of us (we had the room with 5 twin beds). We enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was pretty good and included. I had read another review where someone said they ran out of food by 8:30 (it's served 6-9) but there seemed to be a lot of guests when we stayed (parking lot completely full) and yet plenty of breakfast. I arrived to breakfast at 8:30, my wife and kids actually got there by 8:55 and the staff was kind and let them eat too. ...

"Eric at the reception was very friendly and helpful. The jacuzzi and sauna are a good addition. It has a cost but worth it after long hours of driving. I would recommend the place. Basic room, no tea or coffee in the room which would have been nice. There is a kettle though. Just plan ahead. Overall a good experience."
