Stayed here as we were campervanning on the Ring Road as a way to break up the trip. The staff was friendly and helpful, and their morning coffee was surprisingly solid. The hotel itself is nothing to right home about but did the job for what we needed.

Stayed in a cottage. To get to the property you do go down a dirt road but it is well maintained. Staff was very friendly and the cottage was very large and clean. Bathroom was kind of fun to maneuver the shower but still clean and doable. Would've spent more time at this location had I known how wonderful the cottage was. About 20 minutes from downtown but it's lovely and very peaceful.

Location is not accurately depicted by Expedia as guesthouse was 25 mins outside of town vs the 5 mins shown on map and in the description. Our room was a modular unit with metal exterior that seemed to block the wifi signal. Furnishings and decor were minimalist at best. The beds were comfortable though

The room was perfect for a short stay. The staff was friendly and so helpful. They offered a cold breakfast, but we had our own. The showers were hot and strong. Such a great stop!

About 25 minutes out of Egilsstadir city center, beautiful Mountain View, cabin is clean and roomy for 3 of us, it can fit 4 adults comfortably. All staffs were very nice and the service was great!

This property is shown at the wrong location on the Expedia map. The map shows it 2km south of Egilsstaðir, but it is not there. It is actually in a countryside location 30km(!) north of Egilsstaðir, along route 917, and the last 6km is an unsealed road. Your preferred mapping app should show the correct location. The person on reception was aware of this error in the Expedia information, but I don’t think they care about it! I stayed in a clean room with a firm but comfortable bed, thin pillows, a tiny shower, and poor lighting in the room. Friendly staff. If you don’t mind the remote location, it’s ok I suppose.

The cabin was spacious and clean. The shower was right across from the sink which was a little weird. Overall, it worked ok. Definitely on the rustic side. The staff was friendly and helpful. We ate dinner at their restaurant and got soup, pasta, and bacon burger. It was all delicious. Ate breakfast there in the morning and it was also good and convenient.

Very quiet location. The staff made an effort to make us feel welcome. The surroundings are great too. We were happy that they also offered dinner and breakfast service. Note that the location shown on Expedia is not where the hotel is but it’s rather a 30 min drive from egilstadir. Check Google Maps for the correct location along route 917

This is a decent place and the staff were doing the best with what they had and were very helpful when we asked for something. However, the room was very basic with little in the way of amenities - the room was quite cold when we got there and although there was a heater, it was rudimentary and difficult to control. There was only a curtain around the shower pan which made it difficult to use and a lot of water ends up in the floor! The bed was comfy though! This place is also well outside Egilsstador, even though our confirmation from Expedia showed it to be very close to town with lots of other attractions close - in fact this place is 30 mins outside of Egilsstador (several miles up a dirt road) and so the attractions shown are also that far away!! This is an error in the Expedia system which so far they have been very reluctant to acknowledge or fix. The hotel has also tried to alert Expedia but without success. In summary, a decent place but don’t trust Expedia’s description of where it is!!

We stayed in one of the cabins and there was plenty of room for the 3 of us. Comfortable accommodations. The area is beautiful and quiet. Staff were helpful and breakfast was great. We only stayed 1 night on our trip around the ring road but we would have been comfortable staying here much longer.
