"I am sure this place was epic in the 70s. Now I am sure the only people that would like it would be in their 70s. Literally isn't anything to do after 4-6pm. The little bar/restaurant stayed open till 9pm. The part of the property we stayed in the building was extremely dated and poorly maintained. Our room smelled like mold. "I travel a lot, and this is one of the nicest hotel suites I’ve ever stayed in! The manager “David” was amazing and very personable. I’ve stayed at La Quinta’s over the years and always enjoy my stays. The parking was plentiful. There are many restaurants within 10-15 minutes. The food was average and not particularly memorable. That said, it’s important to recognize the hotel’s rural island location, where expectations and available options may be different than at a larger destination. "The room looked clean but smelled like weed. We had to ask more than once for extra pillows and we were disappointed that we were only allowed two breakfast tickets with four guests staying in our room. The breakfast was typical and the service only okay. Never asked if you would like a coffee refill etc.. The restaurant was better in the evening. Great staff but only one drink ticket for two dinners… seems a bit cheap. Over all not impressed and won’t be staying there again"
