"The only issue we had was there was no one to check us in, The contact numbers we had no one answered. We actually felt like we were trespassing. After driving around for an hour someone finally returned our call & messages and arranged to meet us. We had almost given up & were going to go home.
Having said that we ended up having a really enjoyable stay :)"

"Website details & pictures; a different story to reality. Initial reception - given questionnaire with another guests details, spoke of our ‘standard room’ which I pointed out was incorrect - booked a superior room. MUCH whispering with a colleague and tapping of computer keyboard then told to wait whilst they sorted out a glitch with the system and issues with the superior room availability. "Staff where very friendly, but it was a maze to get to the room, clearer signs need to be put up to direct people to their rooms. Due to warm weather it would have been ideal for the rooms to have A/C"

"Staff were great maybe a bit more of a smile from the bar staff :-)
The bed was really comfy no a/c but provided with fans.
Nice touch with the room freebies
The breakfast was really good quality well cooked as was the evening meal."

"Was in a great location for bars and restaurants- we had a lovely quiet room and a great nights sleep. Room was cosy and had everything we needed. Lovely bathroom and easy to use amenities in the room."

"I highly recommend this hotel. Very friendly and professional staff. Every member of staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. An excellent choice of breakfasts included in the price. The restaurant was excellent in the evenings. The location is fantastic with wonderful views of the beautiful Peak countryside."
