"The location is nearby many restaurants and shops. The units are basic, but have what you need. Unit was very clean. The noise from adjacent units is clear. When the cleaners were in the unit above it was very loud. The stairs from the sidewalk to entry door are fairly steep with narrow steps. There is a narrow curving staircase to reach second floor units. Typical old apartment building issues, but travelers with mobility concerns may struggle carrying bags up and down the stairs. "

"Boxotel isn't particularly fancy, but it has everything you need for a great stay in Montreal. It is located within easy walking distance to downtown, old Montreal, the mountain and the plateau. The rooms aren't big but they are modern, comfy and well equipped. The rooftop terrace is bright and private; and the breakfast bar gives you everything you need to get on your way in the morning. We have stayed here twice and will definitely be back!"

"It was a clean room and it had everything I needed. It was also close to the metro station and bus stops which made it even better! It was a cozy place and it was exactly as the posts! Would definitely recommend this place!"

Ils ou elles sont sincèrement aimables et n'empruntent pas une attitude faussement polie ou hautaine comme dans certains endroits. Cela fait également en sorte que l'on s'y sent en sécurité. Lorsque j'ai fait une demande précise elle fut respectée durant tout le séjour ( 5 jours ). Je n'ai pas eu à repréciser comme cela arrive parfois ailleurs. "WE were at the HoneyRose hotel for one evening for a Canadiens hockey game, given we were from out of town. The hotel is somewhat outside the downtown core but very accessible within minutes by Uber or a cab. The hotel is in an Art Deco style, well refinished and elegant. The rooms were well appointed. It has a small cafe with a restaurant to serve sitdown food. It is located in Place des Art area of Montreal. Would definitely come back for another stay during the summer."

"Very dirty place. My bed had a bunch of long hair. In the dresser someone left their socks no one bothered to remove. Shower drain was clogged I had to stand in a pool of gross water. Big cracks under the door you will hear everything all night as people walking by, slamming doors… room has no air conditioning therefore it was very hot. The manager of the hotel was very nice but managing cleanliness is a huge flaw."

"Beautiful hotel in an awesome location! on-site restaurants were, the hotel staff is amazing ans wonderful rooms! Only drawback is it’s a very old property so there is quite a bit of noise from the hallways, up above and if you have one of the rooms facing the back street, you can hear everything outside. I had to sleep with white noise on."

"The property has an over, microwave, dishwasher and a full fridge, which is rare to find at this price. The host responded to my messages promptly. The only issue I found was that there is little noise insulation, so the noise could comes in from outside and the hallway. But overall, excellent value for the money and well designed property in and out."

"The room was clean though the cement ceiling made it feel dirty. The staff at the front desk were rude. The room had a refrigerator but it only kept things cool, you had to use the fridge by the reception for cold refrigeration. There was no hotel store for snacks or vending machines. We had booked the room for 3 days and also included breakfast. The first 2 days we waited over an hour for our breakfast which was partially burned when it arrived. "Highly recommend this hotel! The location was unbeatable. The room was clean, comfortable, and chic. The staff were supremely responsive — special requests were accommodated and questions were answered within minutes. The self check-in process was a breeze. Complimentary ear plugs were provided, but we didn’t need them. Noise was not an issue whatsoever, and we were in the room closest to street level. We’ve stayed in many places in MTL over the years, and this has been our favourite!"
