COMMUNAL bathrooms are only cleaned once every two weeks, while stairs and hallways are cleaned every week? This seems like an astounding mixup in priorities. Also, if you want to make sure people return their keys to the box INSIDE the door, maybe include that picture in the FIRST checkout email you send, not the second one which may arrive after the guest has already left the property.

College Dorm with two floors of Summer Hotel; typical shower down the hall but many so never a wait. someone is there to help if there's a problem, but mostly self service. really great location near the Old University on South Bridge, 5 minutes to Cowgate bars and Royal Mile sights and excitement.

It’s students dorms. There is no A/C so it can be a bit crazy during the summer, the room is very comfortable, the bathroom was shared but it was very clean and not too many people were staying at the same time so no pressure when using it

If you want a step between a hostel and an airb&b this is the perfect choice. Safe and secure and right in the middle of everything you want to get to. This is a private dorm room, and it is a shared bathroom situation, however the room was comfortable and the property managers very responsive. I never had an issue with the shared spaces and felt very safe in the space. Absolutely would book again when I come back to the Fringe Festival.

Few issues could be easily resolved

Location was excellent but i do not think you can call it a hotel if it doeas not have ANY cutlery ,crockery or even a kettle or pot to heat water for a coffee or a tea.Sharing bathrooms worked fine but think light shutting off during every shower was disconcerting. Despite this I would stay there again as all this could so easily be overcome.Have to say excellent value for money. Lady in office could not be more helpful so well done to her.

Edinburgh Fringe Fest Stay

Clean facility. Easy no contact check-in/check-out process. Convenient location. Close to many Fringe Fest theatres, restaurants, etc. Would definitely book again.

Its a basic student room accommodation, but a good size room and in a great location for Fringe venues. Its shared bathrooms which would be ok of they were cleaned more frequently and stocked with toilet paper. The kitchen was out of bounds, which wasn't clear in the booking so we couldn't use the fridge or kettle which devalues one of the few benefits of shared student accommodation.

Initial Electronic Door entry worked well on arrival. Initially a problem with inner door to rooms but a prolonged phone call to the very helpful emergency number on display solved the issue. A big thank you to the very patient operator that evening. Room big and perfectly adequate with adjacent bathroom. Bed comfortable and good pillows. Wash basin and shower gell provided. Good quality white towels.

Dorm room.

Overall, it was as expected: a dorm room. The room was very nice and clean, spacious. The bed was terrible: the mattress was worn out and lumpy. The bathrooms down the hall were, as expected, shared private bathrooms. I would do it again!

About what you’d expect from a student dormitory. Location is a big plus. Rooms are reasonably clean aside from the odd carpet stain. Shared bathroom situation is hard to navigate when others leave any sort of mess. Recommendation: be picky about quality and complain about any issues you find, otherwise you’ll get passive aggressive notes at 5am when someone else complains.

If you’re Fringing, this is an excellent accommodation near many popular theatre sites and only 1/2 a mile from the Royal mile! It’s a University dorm, so you’re going back to college life’s shared bathrooms, but there is laundry, it’s very safe, and was a great, inexpensive place to stay if you just need a nice place to sleep!

Uncomfortable stay

Really poor facilities. No kettle, no litter bin, really old bed that left spring marks on my back ! Lots of rules to follow and constantly being reminded of them !
