We had a lovely stay here, the rooms are absolutely gorgeous. So spacious and decorated very nicely. By far the best hotel I’ve stayed in in the city. Really nice area, because there is a restaurant and bar downstairs we thought it might have been pretty loud but we weren’t disturbed at all and couldn’t hear any noise from our room. Fab breakfast and coffee in the morning. Check in area isn’t the best, very narrow and small area with people from the bar walking around you so not ideal for queuing up but everything else was amazing.

Great (large) room, lovely bathroom, great location. If you are driving note there are only 4 parking spaces, and reception is a corridor challenge with the backdrop of the bar.

Reception was not very professional. Confused about the booking and the payment. There is a sign in your room that if you take the bottle of soap you will be charged £15. We found that to be unnecessary. They also state free parking. However, there are only 4 spots and it is first come, first served. I had to park on the pathway. They don't state this on hotels.com. They have about half as many parking spaces as they have rooms. Given the built up area there is no way that you will be able to park in the vacinity, should parking not be available.

Great boutique hotel with an excellent bar and kitchen. The staff are very friendly and helpful.. Rooms are spacious, quiet and comfortable with good amenities. This boutique hotel in Stockbridge has an independent, village-like feel is a great location with good nearby restaurants, cafes, bars and pubs. The Royal Mile, Edinburgh Castle, and most other major attractions are within a 20-25 minute walk. Edinburgh is hilly but compact and best explored on foot.

Checkin was smooth, rooms and bathrooms were a nice space, bed was comfortable. Bathroom had a bath and shower both, very nicely done. The staff was super helpful and friendly. The location can’t be beaten with beautiful walks that take you to new town and old town with many cute bakery and food options along the way. Loved the stay!

The Raeburn was a gem! It's a not too far walk from the touristy parts of Edinburgh but just off the main street enough to be quiet when you want to rest or decompress. The hotel room was lovely and the bathroom very spacious. The staff was friendly and accomodating and the downstairs bar/restaurant was quite good. Highly recommended.

The property is very unique with a fantastic Restaurant/Bar area. Everyone was super helpful and extremely pleasant. Will definitely stay there again.

Book The Raeburn, you won’t regret it.
Everything from the moment my 6yr old and I checked in until the moment we left, was nothing short of excellence. A friendly welcome on arrival with room info given. Stayed in room 5. It was breathtakingly stunning. I travel a lot for work and normally my first impression of a room is ‘it’s only for a few nights, it’ll do’ but at The Raeburn I instantly wanted to extend my stay and never have to leave. The room was spacious with a desk, mini-bar, large bed, sofa, coffee table, large bathroom complete with freestanding double ended bath and large walk-in shower and twin sinks. What I thought was a wardrobe was a false front to a large dressing room with plenty of hanging space, shelving, and a vanity table. Iron and ironing board, fan, hairdryer, ghd straighteners all available in the dressing room. I didn’t hear any noise from inside the hotel or from the road outside. The room was comfortable and perfect for a good sleep. We ate breakfast in the morning and would really recommend the porridge with banana, delicious. We didn’t feel at all rushed and nothing was too much trouble. Book it, you won’t regret it.

We had a lovely stay at the Raeburn for our first nights in Scotland. Everyone was very kind and friendly. The rooms were generous and had all the comforts of home.

Wonderful stay in a great neighbourhood
I’d never been to Stockbridge before and a friend recommended The Raeburn for my 2 night stay. I’m very glad he did, the hotel staff were very accommodating, the room was very well appointed, and I very much enjoyed the breakfast. Parking is very limited but I was on foot so not a problem for me. I especially liked the bath!

Our Scottish stay!
It was wonderful. From the time we enter hotel to the time we checked out. Staff was extremely accommodating and the room was just beautiful. We later learned it had been renovated recently. The restaurant was great too. I definitely hope to return soon.

Stunning room with a luxurious bathroom. The staff were charming and it was a great location - not far from the city and with great restaurants near by. Would certainly come stay again anytime we come to Edinburgh

Staff do absolutely everything they can to make sure you have a great stay. The rooms are large and very well allocated. The hotel restaurant is also very good and convenient! Very close to a bunch of nearby attractions, and Stockbridge is probably my favorite neighborhood in Edinburgh. Next time I go back to Edinburgh, I will make sure to stay at The Raeburn!

Nice hotel, quiet and best staff to help guests
Had a fantastic stay at the hotel. Our room was still very very warm when we came in but the team was very helpful and immediately offered to install a mobile aircon. The hotel is very silent, nicely located in a beautiful neighbourhood. Would definitely stay again!

The Best hotel and area
Loved this hotel. Fantastic location. Not far from centre but lots of eateries etc a few mins away and the wonderful Botanic Gardens and Modern Art gallery. Stockbridge a fabulous place. Our room was one of the nicest and the bathroom WOW.
