They did not have a breakfast available. My room key quit working while I was still staying in the room. I had to get it “reprogrammed”. This happened to 2 others that I know of.

The facility was clean, but 2 restaurants seemed to be closed. Pool was in bad shape and closed. Broken glass on corridor floor from previous day's mowing. Staff didn't seem very outgoing or welcoming. The smell of freshener in the room was overpowering. Moved to another motel for the second night.

Will never stay there again. Paint chipped off walls, lamp shades broken, chair stained, blind broken. Deodorizer extremely strong. Sheets and bathroom were clean. No shampoo or hand soap. Property wasn’t mowed or weeded. The room next to us was very noisy, using lots of profanity around midnight and were smoking which was strong then in our room (one of those connecting doors in between).

Room was clean. However breakfast was a joke. Nothing but cereal. Check in was an issue. Counter person asked fur payment even though I pre paid. He had to call owner and check. Check in was slow as they went back and forth then finally said ok. We found your payment. Bar and restaurant were closed. Fire pit did not work. Place has really went downhill in recent year. We stay here a lot, but need to find new place as the things we enjoyed are now lacking or not available.

This place should be closed down . Safety issues, unpredictable no n equipped room assignments. Most of their rooms have issues . Complete renovation is needed to operate properly . NOT SAFE AT ALL TO STAY HERE.

The place just changed hands on June 1st and they are trying to get their footing. They are catching up on the maintenance on the rooms. The Indian Restaurant, Mint, was great. Give them a chance good people running it and would return.

We have stayed at the hotel over the years when we go to Charleston. This year was a little different...new owners took over on the first of June. They are going through a process, but we are hoping it will be better next summer. Good luck to the new owners!

Not sure where the 10/10 reviews are coming from, this hotel needs a complete re-do. We had black mold in our room and should have just left. It sounds like there is new management, so hopefully they can try to right the ship because this place will only get worse with time. Great location, but that is where it begins and ends. Spend a few extra bucks and stay in Mantoon, you will be glad you did.
