"The accommodation itself was lovely with a beautiful bathroom, the building itself needed a bit of care in places but because this is a community owned building the money is needed for other things like the rooms which have been done. I do not think this is a hotel but more a bed and breakfast as you have to pay for an evening meal in the bar/restaurant downstairs every night along with any drinks, you are unable to charge them to your room. "Very close to the beach, on the other side of the main road through the village. Free parking overnight opposite the hotel, though a max stay of 45 minutes through the day. It's an old building, so the floors creak, but that wasn't a problem. The staff were great and everything was easy. Breakfast was good."

I hadn’t realised I’d booked a room with shared bathroom and the bathroom was on first floor and we were on the second - we only saw one shower and 2 toilets for all the shared rooms. "Good family room. Excellent shower as this room has been updated. Perhaps it is time to update decor in the hotel rooms as it felt like we were stepping back into the 1980s. However, for the price it was a good. The size room with everything you could need. Quiet room but could do with a fan or a/c"

"The room we had was for three people. It was the size of a small apartment. It had a microwave, small fridge and a jetted tub. While the hotel is on the beach our room faced the other way which had the advantage of not getting the afternoon sun."

"The room had two relatively minor issues: 1. The toilet flush was terrible. Difficult to flush. Impossible with long flush, hit and miss with short flush. 2. The toilet roll holder was in need of securing. Toilet rolls inevitably fell to the floor when used. As I said these issues were relatively minor but were an ongoing irritant."

"Good location in beautiful scenery not far from some walks. On a main road but it was completely silent at night. Suite was lovely and bigger than expected, with beautiful views, and a very modern bathroom with a fab shower. The bed did have a weird slope to it though which put our feet higher than our heads! Food in the pub at dinner time was expensive and average, although breakfast was plentiful and good quality. Enjoyed our stay very much. "

"Thank you to Heather, she was kind and helpful and responded to requests quickly We were not disturbed by the night club since it was out of season and a Monday night. Room was good value for money. It could probably benefit from a lick of paint and the mattress was a little uncomfortable, but okay for 1 night."

"We would highly recommend The Fanny Talbot. Our room was lovely and spacious with an added bonus of a kitchenette area. Everything was clean and beautifully presented. The staff are very welcoming and the service at the restaurant was also top notch. We ate there the first night and had the set menu. Each plate was exceptional. We would definitely return."
