"I stayed for three nights in room 46. It was extremely disappointing. The room looked shabby and badly needed an update. The weather was cold and wet but there were no spare blankets available in the cupboards. No washing up liquid was provided for guests to wash their dishes. No side plates available. The bathroom was very poorly maintained. Both the the bath and the washbasin were badly stained and cracked and looked dirty. The wash basin in particular needs replacing. The towels did not look...

"Andy and Gretel have made the Customs house into an amazing place to stay. We stayed in the Policeman's apartment and on arrival realized right away that we'd made a mistake to book only one night - we should have booked several just for the experience of staying in this house longer! The house is directly across from the harbor inside the breakwater. Port McDonnell is small and quaint and a good base for exploring the Limestone Coast. "Memorable experience. Very friendly and helpful warden. It really was a jail, so don't expect The Ritz. Shared shower stalls reminiscent of boarding school. Basic double bed, firm mattress. Excellent hot shower. Nice shared kitchen. Couldn't connect to the internet but neither could Ned Kelly. It'll give you a glimmering of what society's misfits and villains experienced."

"Our 5 Year old loved the pool, the apartment itself was clean and had everything we needed. Bed was a little too soft but that is personal preference. Would definitely consider staying here again."

"It was a good experience. Helpfull staffs and relatively quiet downtown accommodation. Experienced loud music from adjacent rooms during the weekend nights but got stopped by 11:00 pm. The management Seriously need to get rid of that dirty old Sofa in the Matthew living room as it is awful with dirty spots and marks…otherwise it deserve a five star. Will nmot be suitable for elderly folks who will not be able to climb two flight of stairs carrying luggage up and down."

"Doors falling off hinges, horrible uncomfortable bed leaving my partner with terrible back pain, toilet had poo stains in bowl despite a cleaned toilet wrapper on lid. Toilet brush covered in cobwebs so obviously hadn't been cleaned .. carpark terrible to leave, sign out front so bad we drove past 3 times..."

"Great stay, we will be booking again when in Mt Gambier. A convection microwave would be useful for staying 3-4 nights so we could cook rather than just heat? Excellent otherwise."

"Hmmm. Positives were few - it was quiet and the tv and heater worked well. Negatives were unfortunately many. The whole space was grubby, especially the shower. There was some sort of leak in the bathroom, with water pooling on the floor. Not sure where it was coming from (I don’t think it was the shower). Under the sink in the kitchen also leaked. The kitchen supplies were limited (we had to ask for another fork) and there was only one lid (that was broken) between the 2 saucepans. The towel...

"Studio room was perfect for one person. Really nice and clean, with a comfortable bed and a great bathroom. Really nice staff and location, did not eat at the restaurant/bar but it also looked great! "
