"This property was incredible and surpassed all our expectations. The grounds are beautiful and our room was immaculate. Upon checking in, we were able to be added to a guided tour/hike of the Santa Ana volcano the next day, which we highly recommend. The restaurant had an amazing view and the food was some of the best we had on our entire trip. All the employees were so hospitable and kind. I have nothing but good things to say about Casa 1800!"

"Review is negative. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I arrived there around 9PM. First surprise was that they told me they accept only cash. And I do not travel with tons of cash. So we agreed that I can withdraw cash from ATM in the morning. And then in the morning I learned that nearest ATM is located in Izalco. Just 45 minutes drive. And those ATMs take only visa cards. I had to spend 2+ hours to find ATM that would accept MasterCard in the town of Sonzacate. It is first time in 15...

"I stayed at this hotel in March of 2016 with my husband. Although we liked the large, beachfront rooms, the service was absolutely terrible. It took almost 2 hours for lunch to be served because the waitstaff were all seated trying to watch a soccer game.
