Likes- large room and bed. Character property and easy parking. Good breakfast. Dislikes- TV no aerial connection and not tuned into any channels/apps asking for wifi details. No bedside lights just roof light and large wall light not near bed.

Every thing was tip top.. I had travelled on my motorbike and they allowed me to secure it around to back of the hotel out of sight.. all very helpful the room was to a high standard and very clean.

The room was clean and tidy the bed was massive and comfortable, the reception staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, food was excellent overall very impressed and I will stay again

Central location. Poor check in from staff, did not explain anything other than providing room key. Allocated ground floor room in annexe building. Old shower doors left outside bedroom window, window very dirty on outside. Excessive noise from occupants in room above at 2pm in the morning. Difficult to identify staff as nobody wore name badges or uniforms. The breakfast service staff were very helpful. Certainly won't be returning.

Located not far from the rail station, an old fashioned hotel ,very pleasant staff ,really comfortable bed ,tea ,coffee in the room ,excellent choice for breakfast ,and dinner menu ,free parking,I would stay here again

The annex is a bit dated and tired but over all the place is pretty decent. The main building is gorgeous and the food was excellent. Staff was very friendly and great to talk too. Would stay again no question.

Friendly folk!

Friendly and helpful staff. Comfy bed. Had a lovely meal in the restaurant one of the nights we stayed.

This property is in need of significant maintenance. As we walked through the front entrance, we noticed that part of the roof above the entryway was missing, which made for a poor first impression. The front desk clerk was friendly and welcoming, and we appreciated the kindness shown during check-in. Unfortunately, the room itself was disappointing. It lacked basic amenities, and the balcony was unkempt. Even more frustrating, the balcony door/window was completely locked and could not be opened, so there was no way to get fresh air into the room. The one positive aspect of our stay was that both the room and the bathroom were clean, which is why I rated the stay as "okay" rather than lower. Overall, while the staff was courteous and the room was clean, the condition of the property and the lack of maintenance would prevent us from staying at this hotel again.

We enjoyed our stay. The only real downside is the lack of elevator; walking up 2 flights of stairs will luggage is a bit of a slog.

Stayed here for 2 nights as a birthday weekend for my hubby, thankfully had a weekend full of plans and didn't need to spend to much time in the room. Bathroom disgusting, skirting boards full of dust, underneath the sink dirty, (as you could see it whilst sitting on the toilet), shower door didn't close, you think it was going to fall off, rather dangerous if you ask me. There's a gap in the balcony doors, so constant draft through them, that's why the radiators are on full blast. Next person that goes in might find what I found in the bedroom floor, if you look for it, don't know how long it's been there. Hard bed and pillows, I've come home needing to book a massage.
