"We really loved the stay and all the detailing of the room.. host had been amazing and shared all the information well in advance…
It was so relaxing and thrilling experience to spare time with nature - experiencing water fall, birds chirping, rains, swinging breeze and many more things…!!"
"There was no housekeeping drive in our room when we checked-in. The floor was dusty, there were insects , lizards , cobwebs , spiders and everything else you can imagine in our room. The staff was not at all cooperative. The quality of the materials used for construction in the room are very poor. Not at all value for money. Only the staff at the restaurant were friendly and accomodating. The air conditioner in the room also started leaking."
"I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The breakfast is simple and tasty and sets you up well for the day. It’s served on your own balcony which for us had a lovely view of Ella Rock. The guest house is located very close to the Main Street which his filled with restaurants and shops. The walk there and back is very steep, but you are in Ella!! The lovely man who runs this place is so friendly, helpful and welcoming. If you want a local feel this is the place for you. "
"Breakfast was tasty. Room was clean. The view was top notch - you have the Ella Rock right in front of you, especially from the restaurant on the second floor. Note that there is no elevator to the restaurant, and that it only serves breakfast and not lunch or dinner. There is also no A/C or fans in the restaurant so it can get hot when you eat. They do have outdoor space. The best of all is the staff, who were so ready to help. Note that it is quite high up on a hill, so it may be harder to get to than a hotel by the main road. But for us, the view more than compensated it."
"Staff were lovely and incredibly helpful. Location is ideal, view is stunning. The pool was nice to swim in. If you don’t mind stairs, this place is ideal. "
"If you want stunning views of waterfalls to wake up to then this is the place. It’s a white knuckle tuk tuk ride to the property but very worth it. The property is under new ownership and they are modernising with better amenities (cocktail bar, pool tables etc ). The owner cannot do enough for you. They have their own tuk tuk in to town for 500rk. Expect to pay 500-1000 back. "
"Inaccessible property (have to pay extra to a tuk tuk to get in and out) and dated, unclean condition overall. Great views but poor service, lacklustre food and menu, and rooms are old, dirty, with poor beds and mattresses. We had to check out 1 night early to stay somewhere else, it was a poor hotel that is in desperate need updating. Definitely not the experience that we paid for, and it felt like the food menu was over priced too. Finally, a horrific smell of trash from an open rubbish dump nearby, which could be felt in most parts of the hotel. "
"It’s a real shame to feel a need to leave a negative review as this. I can honestly say that this is the first negative review we have ever left for a hotel so it is not something that we find joy in doing. We travel to similar calibre hotels every month and I can honestly say this was the worst we have ever been to and we wouldn’t recommend spending your money going here.
The rooms are not sound proof at all, the shower water was cold for 2 days. We had a room on the second floor and the neighbours in the room next to us were screaming for hours (including their baby). The parents were arguing and the children were very loud too. We could also hear their tv. While we completely appreciate that babies cry, we wouldn’t expect to hear them as if they were in our room. We called reception to kindly ask if they could speak to next door. They said they did and that they would call us back shortly. They never called back. We contacted them again and they said they would investigate, again, we heard nothing back when they said they would return our call. We then went to dinner and spoke to somebody at the reception and they said to us that the neighbours balcony door was open and they asked them to close it. The next morning at 5am, it all started again. We gave it some time but then had to call reception as it was so loud. They apologised and said they would ask the manager to come and see us. The manager never came.
for 1000USD a night the food is not up to standard. "
