Red Lion has been around a long time. The Ellensburg red lion needs some serious updating for the price they charge. Went down for breakfast. Coffee was more like Luke warm water. Waffle makers…no batter. We left. No go…

The pool and exercise rooms were closed and not stated on the website. Bathrooms are extremely small and dingy, rooms are small and cramped for 2 Queen beds and 4 people. Will not stay again, was not worth the price.

This hotel is okay if all you need to do is sleep. It's outdated and not fancy. The fitness room was closed. We didn't even look to see if the pool was open. The continental breakfast was very average. But it's a great place to sleep if you're on the road and you need a cheap hotel.

While the room was clean and king sized bed comfortable, the bathroom was very small and cramped, with no exhaust fan, which left it hot and humid. We missed the complimentary breakfast due to a misunderstanding about the cut-off time. We only needed basic accommodations for an overnight stay in Ellensburg, so it met those qualifications. It just felt tired, and a bit run down - like it had seen better days. For those seeking more upscale accommodations and amenities, look elsewhere.

The hotel is tired and old. Needs to be upgraded. No coffee maker in the room, first hotel we have stayed in without a coffee maker. We had to ask reception for the breakfast food to be replenished, no staff around. We won’t be back.

The hotel is old and run down it needs a good remodel. We couldn’t get extra pillows, the breakfast was little to nothing and the pool and fitness center were both out of order. Cheap but probably wouldn’t choose to stay here again.

The room was dirty, the bathroom had blood in it, the sofa bed was really uncomfortable as a pull out bed. I had my kids with me and did not feel comfortable sleeping in the room with the lack of cleanliness. The front desk gal was the only pleasant thing about the stay as she tried to help. The pool was down which should be announced that it hasn’t been working for months as that is why we booked the stay. There was also loud noise in the walls from plumbing or something that work go off every-time someone showered in the hotel which made it hard to sleep. Would not stay here again.

Online photos do not show the actual condition of this property. In real time, the hotel is in desperate need of upgrades- deep cleaning, painting, better breakfast options, and having a pool that is actually open. My room smelled of cigarette smoke, but the sheets and bed were okay. The staff were relatively friendly depending on who you were engaging. Parking was okay if you arrived earlier than check in. I have no plans to return given how overpriced the experience was.

The hotel sold out but did not hire enough cleaning staff. The result was a 2 hour wait to get into my room. Other guests had long delays as well. There’s a simple fix, called “planning”.

We had a later check in and the person at the front desk was not helpful. They did not provide a receipt, share the check out time, or any other information. The room was fine and did its job for the short night we were there, although the bathroom seemed to have not been cleaned thoroughly. The shower had personal toiletries and used washcloths on the side of the tub.

The staff were very helpful and efficient. The condition of the property is not good, and because of that, I would not stay here again. I’ve noticed in the past few years that many hotels seem to have completely abandoned regular maintenance and updates to the premises; that was definitely the case here. While the room was clean, it was dated and in disrepair (furniture scratched/dented, bathroom door looks like a dog scratched it, bathroom ceiling fixture off kilter with hole in ceiling, shower unpredictable -you could take a boiling shower or a scalding shower). If I’m going to pay $200+/night, I want to stay somewhere that feels nicer than my own home.
