I had a wonderful stay at the Lemon Beach Resort. The resort was clean and scenic, my room was comfortable, and the complimentary breakfast was very good. The staff was very friendly and assisted by carrying my luggage to my room. I was also able to get a relaxing massage. I would recommend staying here. It was a pleasant all-around experience.
We had an amazing stay at The Lemon Beach Resort. It exceeded our expectations.
George and the reception staff were warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. They safely held our luggage while we went on an early morning excursion before check-in, which saved us from lugging our bags.
The property is beautifully well-maintained with modern, clean, and comfortable rooms. Our ocean-view balcony was breathtaking. Waking up to that view each morning was unforgettable. The pool, heated by the sun, was perfect at any time of day.
The on-site restaurant had a great mix of local Ghanaian dishes and familiar options… all delicious.
Lemon Beach arranged a memorable cultural batik-making experience nearby with Madam Martha. She guided us step by step as we created our own design, then dyed, washed, and dried the fabric while we watched.
Special thanks to Dennis from Zion Tours who can arrange transportation, excursions, and customized experiences across Cape Coast, Accra, and beyond. He went above and beyond for our family and curated a meaningful, intimate experience for my 72-year-old mother-in-law on her first trip to Ghana. She’ll never forget it. He even returned an item we left behind after we left for Accra, showing true care and professionalism.
Our only regret is not connecting with Dennis sooner. It would have saved us time and effort researching and coordinating on our own. But as they say, you don’t know what you don’t know.
Overall, incredible stay. Highly recommend!
Lemon Beach Resort was such a beautiful, quaint place with a great helpful professional staff. I went with a group and they were able to not only accommodate about 12 of us but there were other guests present as well. Even with all of us including the guests present for four days, everyone was cohesive and resumed the quiet peaceful aura that was present.
It is a hidden gem amongst the residents and close to a school. The rooms are in a hut type setting but extremely comfortable. The grounds are beautiful with a sandy beach area where you can grab some great food, lounge either alone or with your friends, ride a horse or watch the waves. Enjoy!
Quaint property situated right on the ocean. Staff were very attentive to our needs, personable. Transportation was excellent. Food was good.

It was just OK. Breakfast was not on time. Some staff were pleasant while others were unpleasant.
The cultural dancers were engaging. Loved them all. Beautiful performance!
Hello, tourists and locals to Ghana: this resort was a great getaway from the hustle and bustle of the big cities. It was clean. It was fun, relaxing, safe, and the staff was 100% willing to make you happy. The staff always goes out of their way to serve you. A big shout-out to Richard and Kofi-Black. The food was tasty and on point in terms of cooking - just overall excellent. I take my hat off to the chef. If you are looking for a vacation getaway while visiting cities in Ghana do take a booking at the Lemon Resort- Elmina, you will not regret it. Check out my pictures as well.
From arrival to departure, the staff was amazing. The rooms were clean and the property was clean. I got assistance checking into my room as well as when I checked out. It was a plus having a refrigerator in the room. I also loved getting 2 bottles of water each day. Thank you. Having a plant based diet, I was very pleased with the food options at the restaurant. I will be staying here again.
We greatly enjoyed our stay. The staff was polite, helpful and attentive. The grounds and units were clean and well maintained. The AC, water and electricity were 100% reliable. The restaurant served excellent food at drinks at reasonable prices (that is, there was no exorbitant resort markup; the prices were similar to what we pay at similar quality restaurants in the Accra area). Although the seawall prevented both direct surf views from our porch and easy access to the water, there was an open beach area only a 5 minute walk away where we could dip our toes and watch the waves. I recall that this was clear after a close review of their listing; anyway we knew about this issue ahead of time. (Note - the beaches along this part of the Ghana coast are generally not swimmable due to rip tides and hidden rocks).
Lemon beach is a must do destination if you are going to cape coast. We had an amazing weekend. The staff are all wonderful— we had special and excellent service from Prince; we were grateful for George our driver and his team for arranging travel. While the beach right in front of lemon beach is not for swimming you can take a walk down the path and take a dip. We woke up to birds and ocean sounds and an incredible compound with a pool; gardens, great food and bar and Saturday evening cultural event with dancing and drumming from neighboring young people. We hope to return if we ever get back to Ghana. 🇬🇭
This resort was nice however the only complaint I have is there is NO hot water. The water starts off hot but quickly turns cold. Not a good experience.
