"Our room on the second floor was extremely hot - it was a particularly hot week but we were never able to cool it down despite having the fan on. Having to climb about 40 stairs with suitcases for several days' stay was a challenge. Although the house keeping staff did their best to maintain the room and bathroom they were outdated and the bathroom in particular needs updating. "This property was probably a very nice house in its day with a great location close to Ely centre and backing onto the golf course. It’s now very tired old lady that’s seen better days. It was clean and the breakfast was very good. There was no one to receive us and the room key was left on the reception desk with a note. We had room 8 which is on the top floor which must have been back in the day the servant’s rooms.To reach it a door from the first floor led to a narrow flight of stairs which...

"The property is attractive, room was lovely and clean, grounds were appealing and we had a room with French doors leading outside with a small table and chairs outside which was great for breakfast etc. There is a kitchen with everything you need to cook a meal which is a bonus if you fancy self catering. Adam was helpful and informative. Very quiet and relaxing location and perfect for visiting the area although you do need a car."

"We didn’t get off to the best start as arrived to find a notice on the pub door to say that there was no power and pub was shut! Had to call a number to book in, young man arrived and assured us that our rooms were unaffected and that breakfast would be provided in the morning. Room clean and comfortable, major plus was good sized bath towels. Breakfast was indeed provided, full English cooked fresh to order, Kevin was lovely.
