"Everything about this hotel was perfect from the moment I arrived. The staff at reception were very welcoming when i checked in and provided clear information about hotel services and dining options. "I had a great stay. It was a nice boutique experience. The staff were incredibly kind, and I received a room upgrade upon arrival. There were some snack and drink options in the mini bar. The tv was able to stream Netflix, however, the other apps wouldn’t work. Although there was construction going on, the street that the hotel is on seemed pretty chill, while being just one block from esplanadi. Soundproofing seemed good, or I just got lucky with quiet neighbors. My only complaint is that they...

"Beautiful Junior Suite. Well appointed with fresh flowers on arrival. Friendly, professional staff. Wonderful Spa and Sauna access were included. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet, great start to our days in Helsinki."

"Good location, not far from the train station and trams. Supermarkets nearby and shopping centres close. Easy walking distance to Market Square and Senate Square. The bedroom in the apartment was quite small. Not a lot of space between the bed and the wall. The bathroom was also small. The sitting area and kitchen were a good size. No storage area for clothing other than hanging space. Very quiet street, no noise from outside."

"Outstanding breakfast with huge variety of choices. The staff everywhere - front desk, dining room, bar were all pleasant and helpful! We were very impressed with the Hobo Hotel; it's location was excellent for getting around and seeing the inner city, near the Esplanade for relaxing and people watching. "This is a very unusual hotel, being situated i an old jail. It conserves the main features of the jail but is very warm, welcoming and modernised. Very helpful staff. Best feature is the excellent buffet dinner and breakfast included in the very reasonable price. There is a tram stop immediately outside and it is also a short walk to the Viking terminal for the ferry to Stockholm."

"The property itself was very nice. Good location (however the most convenient tram stop Tove Jansson was closed the entire stay). A few weird things to note for travelers: first, this is not a hotel. The check in is done on a pad which generates room key. This is the last thing I want to do after a long flight. I never saw staff other than housekeeping. Second, no TV in room???? What the hell? Third, the terrace outside our room, while nice with good views of harbor was completely open to anyone...
