"The State Plaza Hotel was a pleasant surprise. Clean , great foggy bottom location, spacious rooms/ bathroom and kitchen. Helpful and friendly staff, even has a nice place called the Garden Cafe to grab a bite for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Great place to stay if you are in Foggy Bottom."

We only live in Baltimore, so it’s only an hour away, but we like to spend the night and do museums and restaurants the following day or two.
