"This place is all about location. The experience in a 2-room suite was like staying at the home of an elderly relative who hasn’t updated their furnishings since the 70s. The rooms were spacious but a bit musty and quite worn. But it’s half a block to the main street so overall it’s a good choice if you don’t mind the thin walls and shag carpeting."

"Breakfast was less than amazing. Sparse to our taste. Entire property is showing its age. We understand it's under new ownership so perhaps it will be spruced up as it deserves to be. Great location- walking distance to historical downtown and next door to the Hadley Garden. Amenity in bathroom included a bottle of body wash and one tiny bar of soap. Bed was very high and it was difficult to climb into for a short guest without help."

"If you are traveling in Humboldt county and enjoy a little casino action, this is a great place to stay. The casino is small but fun with good odds. Restaurant is good. Pool and hot tub and indoors. Very dog friendly place. Perfect as a home base for exploring Humboldt area. We will go again."

"Check-in was easy enough and there is a great brewery and restaurant within walking distance. The room was well made up but it is an older hotel so the infrastructure is just a bit outdated. For one night it was comfy and practical. Breakfast items were almost all gone by the time we got there but the staff was kind enough to bring out more for us upon request."

"Great old lodge with restaurant, bar and spa services. Great yesteryear feel with lots of wood walls, trim, railings and furniture. Room was mixed old/modern with claw foot tub and great pour over coffee. Nice shaded park area for picnic. Just a beautiful place and friendly staff."

"This hotel was built in the late eighteen hundreds. It’s a beautiful hotel. Great location to downtown. Walkable to many restaurants, stores and the harbor."

"The hallway was fall of piles of dirty laundry. The breakfast was very poor the eggs looked and unfortunately tasted like cardboard. The staff was not helpful 😒."

"There are no humans on staff at the front desk. Front desk in manned via video with people with heavy accents and directions hard to understand."

It was terrible because we were on the road and I didn’t have my booking number with me AND it is impossible to contact Expedia without having the booking number or your Expedia account info. I tried to find a way to contact a human representative but it was impossible. As a result I paid for a room I did not need all because I couldn’t contact Expedia directly. As much as I have used Expedia this was extremely disappointing"
