"Despite receiving confirmation of our stay following the booking process, we received a message the night before our stay at the Five Suites saying we must pay our tourist tax before arrival - our confirmation clearly stating that this tax should be paid at the property (presumably on arrival). Further, the message said that we would receive instructions on how to pay, which were not forthcoming! "Our experience was consistent with previous reviews. Location is ideal. Easy entrance into main attraction area and with rooms off an interior courtyard property is super quiet at night.
Rooftop terrace is ideal. Relaxing, great cocktails and a perfect way to end a day sightseeing in the crowds of Florence.
We didn't realize the restaurant is not open for dinner. Breakfast was crowded, food ok.
Overall a nice property."

"Great clean inviting hotel with amazing common spaces. Greatly appreciate it being just a smidge outside of the chaos that is the historic city center. You definitely have an extra 15-20 minute walk to get to the primary tourist destinations, but after a day of the Uffizi to Ponte Vecchio to Academia human conveyer belt, a little calming walk back to the Hoxton was a welcome and wonderful retreat. Great hotel!"

"This was absolutely a great hotel!! Staff was super helpful. We had an early morning tour and the staff volunteered to prepare a carry along breakfast!! Another morning we thoroughly enjoyed all of the breakfast variety options. Room was very modern and clean. We had dinner at the on location restaurant as well. Food was excellent. "Very difficult to find this property. The pictures posted on the website do not match the quality of room expected. Staff only available from 10am til 7pm.Shower stall in the bathroom very small. My husband could barely fit in the shower.
Pillows on the bed very uncomfortable.
This property was on the third floor of a building above residential properties. It was very loud throughout the night. Doors closing, banging noise like construction and loud conversations until 1am.
