"The Crystalbrook in Newcastle was a pleasant stay for a weekend. The rooftop bar was great, though very busy and they weren't wrong - you need to book for dinner! The room was great, everything is fairly new so it was clean and not worn out. Location is walkable to lots of local attractions, Darby St and the waterfront are all walkable if you're able to. "

"We had the one bedroom apartment which is absolutely huge. It has two outdoor seating areas on opposite sides of the unit. Access to your unit, the building, and the garage are all a single code to remember. The elevator is quick, though there are only 3 levels (garage, lobby, rooms). The one bedroom apartments are strange in that you have to enter the code at two different entry doors before heading up a staircase to reach your living space. The rewards of the living space more than offset...

"We stayed on top floor. No lift. Building old but clean. Meals available on site. Reasonable price. On street paid council parking. EZY Parking App facilities this but card can be used at meters. Tea and Coffee facilities in room, nothing else and no microwave. "

"Really solid experience. The room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped with everything you need, especially for a longer stay. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the location made it easy to get around. Overall, great value and a comfortable stay and can snag free street parking on the weekends."

"Very friendly and helpful staff. Contacted about getting an extra towel and it arrived within minutes. Great location easy to get around the city. They are upgrading their rooms ours was not updated yet, downfall was the bathroom. Shower was in the bath and very small, mould in the shower curtain and grout all coming away. But that should all be fixed with updating. Felt a bit expensive for an outdated room. "

"Nice little Pub with very decent, newly renovated rooms. The pizza served downstairs is insanely good too. Great experience."

"Lovely stay, big large apartment in a quiet location. Apartment was clean except balcony which I washed down to avoid dirt going inside. Aircon duct in the second bedroom would be helpful. I would stay again. "

"The staff were nice - if you want to book in to stay at a pub - you get exactly what you pay for - a pub room & atmosphere .. noice with no frills."

"Had to change rooms after check in. The smell of the room was unbearable and there was dried blood in the bathroom. The staff we very accommodating and polite."
