"This property is stunning. It has great access to the small villages nearby and its own property is situated on lots of beautiful acreage. The rooms are lovely, and the breakfast was outstanding. The staff contributed substantially to making this a wonderful day."

"Good hotel and comfortable bed. Had cancel the second night as the hotel was closed. Access for an 81 year old was very difficult. Lots of stairs to manage. The very cold weather made it even more difficult. The manager was very good and helpful. We hope to get a refund for the second night. The location was excellent and the pub was very quirky and quite special. "

"The room was a good size, the bed very comfortable the bathroom was good sized. The shower was over the bath with shower curtains, not great for older persons. There was a warning sign about the heated towel rail which was not heated.A request to the duty manager to turn it on, produced no result, nor a report back. "I think the property could be managed better. There was no fridge in the room which was very inconvenient - I wanted to keep my drinks cold but couldn't. The bathroom amenities were very basic and no bath salts, soap by the bath area for example. The room balcony should be cleaned daily- it is full of pigeon poop. Otherwise, the property itself is lovely and historic, there's alot of potential to make this hotel a 5 star place, but you need a good management to be able to do this. The restaurant...
