"We stayed here in Classe for two nights before leaving on a cruise out of Ravenna. We are a family of 6 and stayed in 2 Junior suites, which was perfect for us. The hotel is small, maybe 15 rooms total, and is right next to the Basilica di Sant'Apollinare with it's beautiful mosaics and city park. "Pros: close to city centre, wonderful staff, excellent breakfast. Cons: the room/bed was extremely uncomfortable. We both woke up with tons of back pain, it was like sleeping on a pull out couch. I woke up multiple times in the night as the room was also very hot. The room was very dated, although clean. If rooms get updated, I would recommend. Otherwise, I would not return."

"Stayed 1 night before taking a cruise. We took a train from Bologna and walked from the train station to the hotel. It was not difficult and we would absolutely stay here again. We took the stairs to our room except to take the luggage up, it is a very small elevator but a great memory. "The room was very clean although we had an issue with the toilet pouring out water when it was flushed. They offered to change our room but we only had one night left. Towels were put down behind the toilet. The first night was quiet but the 2nd being a Friday was very noisy with motorcycles going to a clubhouse a couple blocks away. "The staff at Santa Maria Foris were very friendly and welcoming, especially the ‘front of house’ lady. The room was of a very good size, quiet and cool (when outside it was 30+C). Nice shady and quiet gardens. Good WiFi, free coffee, and a garage for secure off-street parking. The hotel is very well located for all of the main historical sites, good restaurants and the main market. We had a lovely stay and really enjoyed Ravenna. Thank you!"
