"One slight problem the name suggests is by the port. It isn't, but that didn't ruin our stay. It was a very short walk away. We didn't know how to use the hob and they were there immediately to show me. Our next place, can't be bothered with all their unknown rules prior to booking had we known we would have stayed longer in this appartment. One rule is to pay 150€ deposit for any breakages or missing items. No Inventry, ONE knife, four spoons, and forks. Obviously you have to take turns...

"Beautiful hotel out in the quiet countryside, very peaceful unless they are having an event ( they do weddings) but these are nice affairs and it’s nice to see how the Spanish do weddings. But after 1100am all quite so well controlled by the hotel. This really is a unique and quite divine hotel, we stayed in the main building with our Dogs but you can stay in one of the eight chalet time apartments they have on the grounds which looked beautiful with fantastic views to all sides. "Perfect! I stay in a lot of hotels and I can't remember the last time I had better value for money. The room was a reasonable size with a large shower and all the facilities one usually expects including a fridge and a hairdryer. It is 2 miles from Alicante airport so the ideal location if you have an early morning flight or arrive very late and don't want to drive the same evening. Torrelano itself has several excellent restaurants and plenty of bars. We will be staying again! "
